That's How We Roll in Seattle

As probably none of you knows, I finished seminary last spring. Yes, I am officially a master, or have a Master’s degree, although Master David looks pretty cool. Though, I don’t go by any of these, for of course that would be a bit queer (queer in the Narnian sense, undoubtedly). Anyway, to celebrate, I thought it would be fun to have a celebration to mark this achievement. Thus, I decided a baseball game would be fun, but not just any baseball game, a Seattle Mariner baseball game. So, I bought tickets for an Angel/Mariner game. I had been talking about this since July and it finally happened yesterday.

I’ll cut to the details. The Mariners lost 9-5 but scored first which means they unofficially won. However, none of that matters because there was a fight. Yes, a baseball brawl. Here’s the low-down: Our catcher, Kenji Johjima (he’s Japanese) was hit by a pitch (cause the Angels don’t like Japanese players). So later, we ‘accidentally’ threw inside on Vladimir Guerrero. We didn’t hit him, but he was standing closer to the plate than we, in Seattle, like. The very next pitch he hit a home run. Now it was on like Donkey-Kong. The next time he came to the plate, we threw at him, and it went over his head. Our pitcher was ejected and the benches cleared, as you can see below. Luckily for the Angels, it didn’t break out into a full on fight because, in Seattle, we take off our cleats and stab foo’s. Eventually the game ended though and we went home, I fell asleep in the living room as people were leaving, and now the celebration is officially over.
