I look forward to the day when I'm an uncle and can tell my niece's and nephew's to do things their parents say not to, but that's going to be a while, a long while. However, some very good news is I'm a godfather (I don't think you capitalize it). Paul & Christy Large (formerly Christy Herron) are pregnant! I'm so excited. Christy and her family were at the hospital when I was born and now she's having a baby! So awesome! It's a girl so my name is out of the question but all it took was asking and she said I get to be the godfather.
I don't know exactly what a godfather actually does, but here's a list I compiled of my soon to be responsibilities:
1. Pray for her regularly.
2. Set an example of Christian living (& how to be awesome).
3. Help her navigate moral issues (& other issues - i.e. Don't eat the yellow snow).
4. Tell stories of how her mom and aunt dressed me up like a girl and put on makeup.
5. Other misc. privileges but NOT including changing diapers. I don't do diapers.
Oh yeah, her name is Kiera Ranea. I know everyone is excited and I can't wait to see Paul & Christy as parents and Danny & Kathy as grandparents!
