This Friday I'm leaving for Arizona to visit a church that I've been interviewing with for about a month. It's Foothills Baptist Church in Phoenix. I'm excited for the visit, and am looking forward to meeting the people there. I'm semi-nervous, I feel like there may be a lot of expectations and I'm only there for 2 full days (Fri-Sun). I feel prepared for whatever meetings and questions they have. Its a big difference than from interviewing at my previous church, and I also know what to ask and what are signs of health (and vice versa). Thus far, those who've I've talked to and met seem very trustworthy and reliable. They haven't tried to hide anything and have been very honest.
I'm not sure when I'll know if it's a go, or no-go. I imagine after this weekend their search committee will meet again and possible vote, but I don't really know. I suspect I'll know more after this weekend. You can definitely pray for me and the church that we'll all be of one heart and one mind, no matter what the outcome is.

Okay, young man, we will be praying for you.
Have a great trip and I will be praying for you.
David, I'm out of town this week and sorry I won't be able to be around at FBC, but I'm praying for you and our church family--wishing you the best during your visit
